text~The Moel-Bryn socket supports high performance modules including our Swinyard modules which are populated with higher end VirtexTM-4 and larger SpartanTM-3 FPGAs. Moel-Bryn sockets are available on our Broaddown and Holybush product ranges and offer a flexible, high I/O interconnect with terabyte bandwidth. Swinyard1-LX40~High Performance module.~

Board Features

FPGA

XilinxTM VirtexTM-4 FPGA, in FG1148 package, fitted to the board. Now with XC4VLX40-10 speed grade fitted.

Programming

Swinyard1 has both the capability for onboard and host programming, in both serial and selectMAP modes.

CONNECTION INTERFACE

2*400-pin, High density soulderless connector.

Onboard Memory

Duel 512bit DDR2 memory on individual banks

Oscillator

Fitted 32Mhz Oscillator, also host clock connections as four individual and 2 LVDS pair traces.

Virtex-4 BANK I/O VOLTAGES

6 banks individually support 2.5V / 3.3V or 1.8V by jumper selection.

DCI

User fit DCI resistors.

VREF

User fit Vref resistors. Voltage referance pins can also be used as general I/O when not used for Vref.

User I/O

Large number of user I/O available (372) all routed as LVDS pairs which match up to base boards enabling high bandwidth between Swinyard1 and the host.

Extra Features

Swinyard1 has many features such as onboard programming proms, temperature sensing diode and Encryption Key pins, please refer to the user manual for a complete list.

Bonus Items

Swinyard1 comes with a free programming cable for onboard programming.

DERIVATIVE, TURNKEY or MODULE DESIGNS

We are happy to offer derivative designs of Swinyard1 to customers with special requirements. Subject to requirements and part availability we can usually deliver prototypes of turnkey custom designs in approximately 10 to 16 weeks.
