Prototype Prog3 with Polmaddie1 CPLD Board

ISE IMPACT DOES NOT RECOGNISE CABLE? - You need the USB cable drivers to be installed for this cable to be recognised. If you plug the cable into your USB port and LED does not light it is likely that USB drivers are not installed for the cable in that particular USB port. In this circumstance you will usually be asked to install the drivers.

I CAN'T FIND DRIVERS? - The USB cable drivers are an optional install when your ISE toolset is installed. To install them afterwards look for a file "install_drivers.exe" (Windows) in your ISE tool directories. There is a similar install for Linux.

I USED A DIFFERENT USB PORT AND WAS ASKED FOR DRIVER INSTALL? - This is normal when you change USB port to one that has not been used before.

ARE 3 INSTALLS OF DRIVERS NORMAL? - Yes the driver installation normally goes through 3 levels of driver install when using a new cable or USB port.

DOES PROG3 WORK WITH XILINX TOOLS? - Yes Prog3 works with Xilinx tools without special drivers or software patches.

ARE PROG3 SCHEMATICS AVAILABLE? - No, we do not make any internal details of this product available to users.

CAN I BUY THIS CABLE ON IT'S OWN? - No we only sell this cable with development boards.
