One Feature Set - 5 Solutions Available

The Polmaddie family of boards are very low cost boards aimed at learning the basics of HDL entry -VHDL, Verilog or C. Using identical peripheral features the family gives the engineer 5 different options of CPLD or FPGA from 4 vendors.

 

Each member of the family has common features-

1 FT232R USB based serial interface

 

1 oscillator socket

60 user I/O

 

The USB serial interface also facilitates the teaching of C and C++ software on PC hosts using the Polmaddie board as control target.

 

The Polmaddie family has solutions based on Xilinx Coolrunner^TM (Polmaddie1), Altera^TM EPM3128 (Polmaddie2), Xilinx^TM Spartan^TM-3AN (Polmaddie3), Lattice^TM Semiconductor LCMXO640 (Polmaddie4) and Actel^TM ProASIC3^TM (Polmaddie5).
