Board Features
CR1 is a highly versatile development/OEM board aimed at automotive and industrial applications. Natively it has a PC104 interface but because it is implemented in a CPLD/FPGA this interface may be redefined to another standard offering higher bandwidth options. On board the XilinxTM SpartanTM-3 XC3S1000 FPGA offers the capability to implement a localised microprocessor or even multiple ones using PicoBlazeTM and MicroBlazeTM IP cores. For higher performance microprocessor requirements CR1 can be plugged into standard industrial PC motherboards with a PC104 socket or even other supporting products from Enterpoint such as our Hollybush2.

CAN Bus Interface
Four 82C527 CAN Bus controllers on board. Interfaced/controlled
from FPGA. Magneto-isolated 82C51 drivers.
SCP Interface
MSM6636 driver on board. Magneto-isolated drive stage.
RS232 Interface
One magneto-isolated RS232 Interface on board. UART logic to be implemented in FPGA.
J1850 Interface
NXP semiconductors AU5783D controller supporting one interface.
Magneto-isolated drive stage.
LIN Interface
Magneto-isolated dual interface supported.
ISO 9141 Interface
Two magneto-isolated TLE6258 drive stages. Logic to be implemented in FPGA.
Oscillator
Fitted with 32 MHz 3.3V oscillator. Others at special request.
DIP Switch
Fitted with 8 bit DIP switch in socket. Can be used for configuration or allows a 8 bit ancillary I/O.
LEDs
12 LEDs available to use as indicators.
Taxes and Duties
For the UK we will apply 17.5% VAT to goods and courier charges.
For non-UK EEC countries we will apply 17.5% VAT to goods and courier charges unless you can supply a VAT number, with registration details, that we can verify. If we can not fully verify your VAT details then VAT will be applied at 17.5%. The application of zero rate VAT to a shipment will be at our discretion under advice from UK Customs and Excise. If items are shipped at zero rate VAT you will responsible for accounting for VAT to your local authorities. No other duties or taxes should apply to products shipped to the EEC countries.
USA - We believe that CR1 will not attract duty or MFP (manufactured foreign product) fee of US $2 for a single board. The postal service or courier may charge handling if there is a collection of such a fee. This is our understanding of the rules but you should make you own enquires to confirm this.
For other countries duties and taxes do vary.
Applying duties and taxes may be collected by the courier,
or postal service, from you upon delivery. Please check with
your local authorities if you are unsure of rates. We will add
more information as we find it out on other countries.
Derivative, Turnkey Designs and Licensing
We are happy to offer derivative designs of CR1, or
expansion modules, to customers with special requirements. We can also
license this board, or a derivative, for your own manufacture. Please
ask for a quote if you are interested in these services or products.
