The IDE + 5V Tolerant Module provides the capability to interface to a parallel IDE hard disk or other 5V TTL logic. It can also be used a CPLD development board as it contains a XC9572XL CPLD. This module can also be used as an I/O expander as it presents a small interface to the FPGA which can be widened out by programmed functionality of the CPLD. This module is only an interface module and does not come programmed with any expansion or inherent IDE functionality. Designs for these will need to be implemented within your host development board FPGA design as well as supporting expansion designs within the module CPLD.
