Board Features

FPGA

Xilinx
TM Spartan-3TM FPGA, in FG456 package, fitted to the board. Available with XC3S1000 fitted.

PCI INTERFACE


32 bit, 33 MHz, 3.3/5V PCI interface. Interface is pinned out to use the
XilinxTM PCI core.

CAN Transceivers


Two Philips CAN transceivers connected to the Spartan-3 FPGA.

Spartan-3 Bank I/O Voltages

All banks have an I/O voltage of 3.0V.

User I/O

124 user I/O available.

Programming Cable

Mini-Can is supplied with a programming cable. This cable is recognised by Xilinx tools as a Parallel Cable III.

Derivative, Turnkey or Module Designs

We are happy to offer derivative designs of MINI-CAN to customers with special requirements. Subject to requirements and part availability we can usually deliver prototypes of turnkey custom designs in approximately 6 to 10 weeks. We can also offer custom expansion modules. We can usually deliver module prototypes in 2 to 4 weeks subject to part availability. Please ask for a quote if you are interested in these services.

Please note MINI-CAN has parts that come under both the United States and UK export regulations. We may not be able to deliver to some destinations, or delivery may be delayed, as a result of these regulations.


Local Taxes
 

For the UK we will apply 17.5% VAT to goods and courier/carriage charges.

For non-UK EEC countries we will apply 17.5% VAT to goods and courier charges unless you can supply a VAT number, with registration details, that we can verify. If we can not fully verify your VAT details then VAT will be applied at 17.5%. The application of zero rate VAT to a shipment will be at our discretion under advice from UK Customs and Excise. If items are shipped at zero rate VAT you will responsible for accounting for VAT to your local authorities. 

For non-EEC countries applying duties and taxes will be collected by the courier from you upon delivery.
